How can you build a better relationship in one weekend?

It may seem impossible, but we have seen hundreds of couples transform their relationship through this workshop.

Our Imago workshop for couples, Getting the Love You Want, is a live online experience where you and your partner will learn tools to improve the way you show up for each other. You will practice a new way of communicating with your partner that helps you slow down and focus on what is important. You’ll also take a closer look at how your past experiences may be shaping the way you behave with your partner, and how to let go of the stuff that might be holding you back from really connecting with one another.

Using the Imago approach, we’ll help you build awareness around what you’re looking for in your relationship, how you handle conflict, and how to increase the positive in your life. You will learn how to become more conscious and more intentional in your interactions with each other.

Whether you're newly engaged, recently married, or years into your journey, this workshop offers a powerful reset for your relationship. You and your partner get to practice new skills, discover what makes you feel cared about, and foster new habits that will transform your relationship for the better.

You will leave with a plan to keep doing what it takes to stay in connection with your partner, and new insights that will make you want to keep applying the skills from the workshop… because after one weekend you will see how well they work!

It’s time to focus on your relationship. It’s time to feel seen and heard.

✺ Frequently Asked Questions ✺

  • No, everything you need is taught in the workshop! If you have read the book, you will be well prepared, but we will step you through everything you need to know during our time together!

  • If you are excited about attending the workshop, but you are getting resistance from your partner, don’t worry, you are not alone. We all come to Imago from different places and it can feel like a lot. We refer to partners as Dragers and Dragees because it is such a common phenomenon that one parter is excited and the other is dreading the work. We are always happy to have a phone call with you to discuss the workshop. You can also try telling your partner how much it means to you, or “ I really want us to try this.” or “I think this could really help us get to a better place together. ” The workshop is an investment in a better future.

  • Getting the Love You Want is a deep dive into your relationship, your history, and your patterns. By taking this workshop, you will learn how to identify what you want in your relationship with your partner, how you handle conflict, how to communicate with your partner so you both feel seen and heard, and how to give your partner the things that make them feel loved. You will make a plan for your future and have the skills to help you make that vision a reality! When you put all of it together, the passion and connection between you will continue to grow.

  • All exercises in the workshop are completed between you and your partner. You do not have to share anything with the group. At the beginning of the workshop we have everyone introduce themselves, and the rest is between you and your partner unless you want to ask a question or decide to get help from one of our highly qualified assistants!

  • The workshop is presented live over zoom. It is best to attend all sessions live with the group to get the full benefit of the workshop. There is about an hour of practice / homework in addition to the time we spend together on zoom each day, so please plan accordingly to get the most out of the workshop.

  • The skills you learn in this workshop can be very helpful for couples considering divorce. However, this workshop is only a starting point. If you and your partner are considering divorce, we recommend that you partner this workshop with follow up therapy from a licensed Imago or Couples therapist. This workshop is not therapy, but it will give you a structure you can use with your therapist to work through whatever conflicts may have lead to your considering divorce or separation. Even if couples do decide to part after learning these skills, we often hear feedback that having this knowledge helped the process be less painful and reduced the conflict of the separation.
